Vintage Jerry Silverman by Melissa women's skirt suit, manufactured ca. 1970s. This is a four piece set with the skirt, jacket, blouse and belt. Union made by the ILGWU (International Ladies Garments Workers Union).
The skirt and jacket are made out of a suede-like material (unable to confirm, no fabric tag) and appears a cross between blue and purples depending on the light (indigo like purple). Jacket has a flower broach (unsure of original), and a button closure. The skirt has two pockets, and a slightly elastic waist. The blouse is zip up with a collar and a neck flap.

Condition: In fair to good vintage condition (depending on the piece). The imperfections include: 1) belt backing is separated (could be glued back easily); 2) there is minor wear throughout fabric of the jacket and skirt (i.e., portions where you see slight parts of the suede backing, but only up close); 3) discoloration on the shirt on the on the sleeve and back flap and tiny white marks on the sleeves (this piece has the most obvious imperfections) and, 4) skirt appears to have been altered at one point.
